SKIN PRICK TEST

A quick and safe test used to identify allergic sensitivities. Small amounts of allergens are placed on the skin and results are available within 15–20 minutes.

Indications: Food allergy, hay fever, asthma, eczema, and environmental allergies.

Advantages: Rapid results, highly sensitive, minimally invasive, and helps guide treatment.

Limitations: Antihistamines may affect results, positive tests do not always indicate a true allergy, and results must be interpreted alongside your clinical history.
